I am doing a series of sculptures @Skandinavisk Dyrepark through 2026.
Follow along for more details on the dedicated site here.
This all started out as a shape on paper. Then a small whittled sculpture. Then on to my biggest sculpture (that is moveable).
And now I have another idea - a sketch, a piece of wood, a whittled prototype and a connection made in my head🥰
This figurine is part of my collection "In the eye of the beholder"
Small sculpture whittled by hand from a cut-off of wallnut wood. It is the first iteration of an idea for "The Dancer" I have had for a while with a specific piece of wood.
Looking forward to continuing my collection🥰
Dimensions:
15 x 6 x 4 cm
This collection is still a work in progress. My vision is to make artistic impressions of the statements put out by SameYou.
'Together' is the first statement I am finishing my artistic view of. It features two seahorses hanging on to seaweed - riding the storm together.
An eagle is catching a fish in the water. Water is a dangerous element for an eagle, so venturing into this unknown and dangerous territory is done with brave wings.
Working with epoxy-resin to create the watery element has proven to be a good choice for this piece. I have chosen to leave the edges a little "rough" to simulate a view from under the water.
Life is full of twists and turns. My vision with this piece is to show two bowls representing my mental energy, my capacity for stimuli or some other version of the same concept. One bowl is standing level while the other is tilted. The tilted bowl is still the same bowl, just not able to hold the same amount of energy as before my injury.
The piece also represents the issues arising from many braininjuries being invisible and therefore hard for the world around to see and accept.
